The new WL 500 ID-PS scan station is used for reading 1D or 2D codes on PCBs. An integrated camera system generates one or several high resolution pictures of the PCB. The camera’s field-of-view, as well as the reading area, up to 460 x 460 mm, can be achieved depending on customer specific requirements. 

The information on the reading position is saved in a reading program, which can be accessed by the vision software to read out the codes. This configuration does not require a motion control system to position the PCB, as the entire PCB layout can be displayed within the camera’s field-of-view.

In order to generate homogenous lighting, as well as product specific optimization of the picture proportions, the WL 500 ID-PS features standard RGB LED lighting. The new design of this scanning system allows maximum reading speed while keeping wear and tear to an absolute minimum (no movable parts in the system).
